When I transferred college programs, I went into a program needing an O lineman, and my inner fat kid was up to the challenge. My size served me well as I chased my football career as a lineman, 350 lbs on my 6'3 frame.

After career ending injury and transition into coaching I knew being big wasn't sustainable or healthy long term and I made the decision to get back to my body's natural size. I focused on nutrition (not eating like a fat kid) and cardio to cut the weight.

I've competed in Cross Fit games and challenged myself with physique competitions, and now I just enjoy all things strength and fitness and sharing what I know to help others achieve their goals.

As a husky kid athletics and the weight room helped me grow into my body and gain muscle and strength. While I thought size and strength would be my keys for college success, I found out speed and technique was and had gained and dropped 65 pounds senior year to senior year.
Weight was again an issue for me in my adult life, I was at over 220, on a 5'10 frame before finally making the change I needed to make in my early 30’s.
Diet and cardiovascular exercise became the keys in my journey; allowing me to gain strength I never had in college and at a weight I feel comfortable at.
I believe that a healthy lifestyle and on point nutrition is the key to a long and fruitful life.
